Food Families has developed a detailed budget for the program, although the costs can vary depending on how many modules you implement, what kitchen equipment you might require, how many participants you will have, what recipes you choose to prepare, and whether you might want access to guest facilitators. The cost of the program may also vary based on any grant funding, in-kind contributions, or donations each group may pursue and ultimately receive. Be sure to consider and connect with community partners who may wish to invest in the program through donations of food, money, kitchen equipment, or time, as this should help decrease the overall cost to operate the program.
With 12 participants attending regularly, and incorporating all modules, including the electives, the cost to run the program could be approximately $7500 to $8000.
Please contact the Food Families Program Coordinator for more details on the budget and to discuss subsidization opportunities.
